TIPS:
- Use STERILE TECHNIQUE, including probe cover (photo in video not our patient).
- Following skin wheal, use an 18 or 20 gauge SPINAL NEEDLE, using in-line technique with a CURVILINEAR PROBE along the scapular spine to view needle location.
- ASPIRATE blood to confirm you are in the glenohumeral joint.
- INJECT 10-20ml 1% lidocaine, or 50/50 mixture of 1% lidocaine and 0.25% bupivacaine into joint space.
